Caodura is a fine actor with a facility for physical humor. His voice suited the role, but to my ear he had the worst coloratura in the cast. I saw the filmed performance in San Francisco today, and he uses the technically inept huffing (or barking) ha-ha-ha-ha method to (with no legato) articulate the notes in rapid coloratua passages.
